For a long moment, he could do little more than just grin at her as he tried to catch his breath. The knowledge that he'd been successful in making this okay for her filled him with joy and maybe just a little bit of smug pride. Turning his head to press a kiss to her palm, he sighed happily, the warm, relaxed afterglow settling around him like a cloak. "Not so bad after all, huh?" he murmured once he had the breath to speak and nuzzled against her hand. "You okay?" That came out a little more serious, and a little bit concerned. He didn't think he'd get a negative answer, but he had to make sure, just in case his final sprint had startled her.
