Uhura didn't move as Chapel stood, but her eyes tracked the other woman's movements and skimmed over the medical kit when it was laid open. The sight of all those scalpels and needles sent a little thrill of anticipation through her.

She didn't immediately respond to Chapel's assertion that they were kindred spirits. Normally the mere idea would've made her laugh, but she sensed something in the other woman. A mutual hate for men, perhaps, or a mutual fury about what passed for acceptable treatment of women in Starfleet.

Or maybe it was just a mutual love of causing pain.

"I've never had the honor of working beside a medical professional before," she purred, voice low and almost sultry. "How could I say no to such an offer?" She slowly shrugged off her jacket and let it fall to the floor before she glided closer, letting her eyes skim over the supine man. "Kindred spirits, indeed," she said, slowly drawing one of her knives and resting it against the man's leg.

"But nothing's free, is it?" she asked, eyes meeting Chapel's as she pressed the knife down, slicing through the man's pants and bringing a thin line of blood to the surface. She needed to know if Chapel expected something from her in exchange for Johnson on a platter.
