Of the many strange occurrences she could attribute to the community, Scotty being transformed into a woman definitely ranked among the top few. Of course, there was no way to be sure that it was community-related, but it seemed likely given that they'd encountered nothing in their universe that seemed to explain it.

She knew he was extremely distressed by the situation, but it was still a little comical. She just had to keep reminding herself that he was still Scotty, and certain areas of conversation were always going to be awkward, no matter what genders they were.

But she wasn't going to leave him to face his transformation alone, so she packed up what she saw as the essentials and walked to his quarters, ringing the com when she arrived.

"I bet if the two of you stood next to each other and dressed the same I wouldn't be able to tell you apart." She looked back and forth between Scotty and the screen, though it was hard to tell now that he was physically female.

"Find me a twenty-first century copper uniform an' we'll test that theory then, aye?" he asked, his tone wry. Really. He didn't see the resemblance at all.

"Oh believe me, I intend to. I'm going to take a hollow image of you and juxtapose it with the actor who plays Angel, and then you'll see." Nyota was completely confident that he would.

"You're actually honestly going t'get me a copper uniform just so you can prove this." He wasn't entirely sure he believed her. For one thing, where would she even get the uniform?

She considered for a moment, tapping her lips with a finger. "Yes, I am. I have my way of requisitioning such things," she added cryptically.

"I don't even want t'know." Well, he sort of did. Sort of. But he wasn't entirely sure he was going to like whatever her methods were.

"You'll find out soon enough," she replied airily, reaching for another handful of popcorn and settling deeper into her corner of the couch.

He just shook his head, and returned his attention to the movie, although by this point he thought he'd missed a few important bits. Oh well. He'd just have to hope it wasn't too hard to follow.

Nyota was enjoying the ridiculous movie, but she was definitely feeling a little sleepy, so she just relaxed against the couch and tried to keep her eyes open.

Scotty, on the other hand, was wide awake and, as the movie went on, progressively more and more interested in the plot. Okay, so it was bit gory, and the technology was kind of weird, being so old. But it was a good story. The explosion was good, too.

Nyota thought the plot was increasing ridiculous, but it was still entertaining. Unfortunately, she was still sleepy, and her eyelids were beginning to droop a little.
