Nyota hadn't been joking about the room spinning, but as long as she didn't stand up there seemed to be no danger of her tumbling over. Scotty's drunken ballads were even louder than the music - and weren't even in the same genre as the pop rock that was playing - but that hardly seemed relevant to anyone. Any minute now Sulu should be showing up, and in the meantime, she ordered another drink.

Hikaru wasn't entirely looking forward to being the only sober one in the group. He had been stuck on his shift with Spock and Kyle, and now that it was over he was more than ready to enjoy the perks of surface dwelling. He could use a good night of fun and relaxation on a planet like this.

When he pushed open the door to the bar, he couldn't help but smile at the fine example of Starfleet professionalism. He clapped others on the back as he passed them on his way to Nyota, wrapping an arm gently around her shoulder to steady her once he got there.

"You weren't kidding when you said a few of you."
